Stylematch is a personal styling platform. We generate revenue by helping you discover and elevate your personal style. You work 1:1 with a specific stylist who helps you create complete outfits first from your own closet and then suggests specific pieces to help you fill in any gaps. Stitch Fix is a clothing wholesaler that generates revenue by selling you clothes they already own (that’s why the styling fee is only $20 and why you are incentivized to keep everything they send you).  

How do you match me with my stylist?

We’re so glad you asked! We use a combination of machine learning and irreplaceable human touch to match you with your ideal stylist based on three main pillars: aesthetics, budget, and goals. 

What if I have to reschedule?

We understand that things happen, which is why you can reschedule any styling session once up to 24 hours before the scheduled slot. If you need to reschedule again, or if you reschedule less than 24 hours before, there is a $25 change fee, which helps cover the time your stylist had blocked. Part of how we are able to offer pricing so far below industry standards is because we provide a seamless experience for both our clients and stylists — and reliable scheduling is part of that.

What is your Shopping Service? 

Our Shopping Service ensures you get the best possible results without the stress of an inflated credit card balance (followed by the stress of awaiting refunds). To find pieces that work best, stylists often order more items than you will keep, including multiple similar items and multiple sizes of the exact same item. After identifying the keepers, you return the rest and hope the refunds hit your account before your bill is due. Sound fun? We didn’t think so. 

When you book a Style Midi or Style Maxi, Stylematch buys the clothes and ships them directly to you — free of charge. After your Shopping Try-on, we’ll arrange a pickup for the pieces that you’re returning and you’ll just pay once for the pieces you keep.

What is the Stylematch app?

It’s an easy-to-use, FREE, filterable, digital Lookbook that takes the guesswork out of getting dressed. When you work a Stylematch stylist, every outfit they pull together is added to your Lookbook for you, complete with tags and styling notes. What can you tell me about your stylists?

We have a deep bench of talented, diverse stylists. They have styled and worked for independent clients as well as major brands including (but not limited to!) Gucci, Gap, New Balance, Anthropologie, Lilly Pulitzer, Elie Tahari, Calvin Klein, Brian Atwood, and M.M. LaFleur. They hold degrees from FIT and Parsons. They have styled major photoshoots and worked as on-air hosts for national shopping channels. While they each have their own approach to styling, they all deliver standout results for their clients.

Do your stylists make commissions on clothes?

Nope! This ensures our stylists are never incentivized to push you to spend more than you are comfortable with or to keep pieces you don’t truly love.

How much does it cost?

This much.

OK, but how much do I have to spend on clothes?

You can spend $0 on clothes, in which case your stylist will work exclusively with items you already own — which can be an incredibly satisfying experience. Assuming you do want to add pieces to your wardrobe, we confirm the amount you’re looking to spend before your stylist starts shopping and will source pieces accordingly.

What if I don’t like my stylist?

We'll make it right.

How long does it take to complete a service?

A few days to a few weeks, depending on the service. The Style Mini is our fastest service.
